Emily Scruggs has a diverse work experience in the field of social media and digital media planning and buying. Emily started their career as a Regional Communications Intern at Spectrum in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Web Editor for the Rattler News Organization at St. Mary's University. Emily then joined Arnold Worldwide as a Social Media Intern in 2013. Following that, Emily worked at Proof Advertising, where they held multiple roles such as Digital Media Coordinator, Digital Media Planner/Buyer, Social Media Manager, and most recently, Director of Social Media. During their time at Proof Advertising, they managed various aspects of social media campaigns for clients in different industries such as travel, CPG, B2B, and non-profit. Some of their notable clients include Travel Texas, Stubb's Legendary BBQ, American Heart Association, and Mouser Electronics.
Emily Scruggs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Communication Arts from St. Mary's University, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. Emily then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Global Marketing Communications and Advertising at Emerson College from 2012 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they obtained additional certifications in Marketing Communications from the International Advertising Association in September 2013 and as a Certified Tourism Ambassador for San Antonio in May 2014.
