Lauren Tornow

Lauren Tornow has a long and varied work experience. In 2006, they began their career as an Editorial Assistant at Houghton Mifflin. Later that same year, they joined Care.com as a Marketing Manager and their first employee. In 2010, they moved to Audible, Inc. as a Marketing Manager. In 2011, they returned to Care.com and held the roles of Senior Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing, and Senior Director of Product Management and Marketing. In 2020, they were appointed VP of Subscription at Brainly. Most recently, in 2022, they became Co-Founder of Proof of Learn.

Lauren Tornow began their educational journey in 1999 when they attended The Johns Hopkins University to study Mathematical Sciences. Lauren then went on to Colby College, where they earned a BA in Mathematics in 2003. After that, they attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa to earn an MA in Mathematics in 2005. Finally, in 2006, they earned an MA in Creative Writing - Fiction from Boston University.
