Anand Somani

Anand Somani is a highly experienced engineering professional with over 29 years in the technology sector. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Proofpoint since June 2010, Anand has previously held several managerial positions within the company, including Manager of Infrastructure Engineering and Engineering Manager for Applications. Prior to joining Proofpoint, Anand worked at Avaya from October 2000 to June 2010, contributing significantly to the architecture and design of multi-media channel products and next-generation contact center solutions. Earlier experience includes roles at Corsair Communications as a Senior Software Engineer, where Anand led a project for the prepay system, and positions at Simutest Inc., Winston Tire, and CMC, India Ltd. Anand holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai and studied at Elphinstone College.
