Jeff Pratt is an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a robust background in developing microservices and ETL systems. Currently at Proofpoint since January 2020, Jeff designed and built an ETL system utilizing Scala, Akka, and Kafka Streams. Prior experience includes significant contributions at Verisk and TruHearing, where Jeff extended and maintained microservices, and initiated the transition from a Ruby monolith to microservices. Jeff's tenure at Ancestry involved building microservices on Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, as well as maintaining extensive web stacks. Earlier roles at SmartyStreets, Brigham Young University Computer Science Department, Simplicity Group, LLC, and BYU NewsNet further enriched Jeff's expertise in software engineering and development methodologies.
