Nick Smith

Nick Smith is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in sales strategy and enablement, particularly in cybersecurity and cloud solutions. As the Director of Strategy and GTM at Proofpoint since April 2025, Nick focuses on building strong partnerships and enhancing sales strategies for impactful CISO/CIO engagements. Prior to Proofpoint, Nick had a long tenure at Microsoft, where roles included Director of World-Wide Security Sales Enablement and Director of Azure VMware Solutions for Eastern Americas, driving cloud adoption and enabling sales teams globally. Nick's career began in cybersecurity at American Airlines and Exodus, alongside military service as a Helicopter Crew Chief in the Louisiana Army National Guard. Nick holds a degree from Louisiana State University.
