Claudia Martinez Ochoa

Claudia Martinez Ochoa is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in private equity and corporate debt financing across Asia and Latin America. Currently serving as the Head of Private Equity at PROPARCO since April 2016, Claudia has successfully deployed €120-150 million annually, managing approximately €500 million in assets under management through over 40 direct equity and fund investments, focusing on sectors such as renewable energy and healthcare. Previous roles include Senior Investment Specialist and Senior Investment Officer at PROPARCO, as well as a Senior Investment Officer at the Inter-American Development Bank, where Claudia specialized in debt financing for financial institutions and corporates targeting underserved markets. Early career experience at L'Oréal included roles in supply logistics and financial analysis. Claudia holds a Master's degree in Finance and Strategy from Sciences Po and a BA in Honours Political Science/Economics from McGill University.
