Maya Van Cauter currently serves as Chargée d'Affaires E&S - Intermédiaires financiers at Proparco since January 2024. Previous experience includes a consultative role at Nodalis, where evaluation of the Kiffa hybrid power plant project in Mauritania for AFD was conducted, focusing on E&S risk management and carbon assessment. At Agence Française de Développement from September 2022 to February 2023, Maya evaluated the impact of projects financed by AFD, analyzing themes such as financial intermediaries, digital technology, energy, and education. Maya's earlier positions include environmental analyst roles at ICEBERG DATA LAB and ESG analyst at EthiFinance, further enriching expertise in environmental evaluation and ESG criteria. Educationally, Maya holds a Master 2 in Sustainable Development Economics and a Master 1 in Development Economics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics from the University of Montpellier.
