Maria Fishlock

Maria Fishlock is an experienced finance professional with a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Maria started their career at Zurich Financial Services in 1992, where they served as a Financial Reporting Manager until 1998.

In 1999, Maria joined the Royal Bank of Scotland as the Head of Financial Control. In this role, they had extensive experience in managing complex lease and debt transactions, overseeing business and RBS Group reporting, and handling subsidiary entities, multi-currency reporting, and consolidation requirements. Maria excelled in a dynamic and deadline-focused environment, leading their team to deliver business-focused results supported by strong controls. Maria worked at RBS until 2017.

From 2018 to 2022, Maria worked at Pepper Money UK as a Financial Controller. During their tenure, they were responsible for financial control across the first and second mortgage portfolio. Maria managed multiple securitizations and funding warehouses, and successfully integrated activities into one trading company.

Currently, Maria is employed as the Group Financial Controller at Propel Finance, a position they undertook in July 2022.

Maria Fishlock attended the University of York from 1982 to 1985, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
