Mark Tweed FCA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mark has held various positions in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 2002, Mark worked as an Audit Manager at Lloyds TSB, where they provided internal audit services to the LTSB Asset Finance business unit. Mark demonstrated expertise in the auto and asset finance sectors and utilized internal audit methodologies, including the COSO framework.

In 2006, Mark joined Ernst & Young as an Audit Manager. Mark oversaw a client portfolio predominantly in the manufacturing and service sectors. Mark provided accounting, auditing, and reporting expertise under IFRS, UK, and USGAAP to senior executives and business owners.

Mark then moved to Ally in 2011, where they held the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for GMAC UK and Sweden. Mark also served as the UK Regional Controller. In this role, they provided strategic financial leadership and partnered with GM Financial's businesses in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and Austria.

In 2007, Mark joined GMAC UK plc as a Financial Controller and later became the Finance Director/CFO. Mark implemented systems and processes that made the UK operation a global benchmark for the parent company. Mark also played an active role outside the finance function, exceeding expectations through tenacity and commitment.

From 2013 to 2016, Mark worked as the Managing Director of GM Financial UK, Ireland, and Sweden. Mark led the strategic growth and operational performance of these markets. Mark successfully closed the PSA/BNPP acquisition of the GMF Europe business and drove profitability in the Swedish operation.

Mark then joined Opel Vauxhall Finance in 2017 as the Deputy European CFO, Sweden MD, and OVF ExecCo Member. Mark led the seamless integration of the GMF European finance function into the new joint venture ownership. Mark also provided leadership to the legal team during an ownership change.

In 2018, Mark took on multiple roles at different companies. Mark became the Group CFO, Director, and Head of Legal at Propel Finance, where they supported SMEs with equipment finance. Mark also became an Independent Board Member and Finance Director at the Welsh Sports Association, supporting the sport sector in Wales.

Additionally, Mark joined Aberystwyth University in 2018 as a Council Member. Mark served as the Chair of the Audit & Risk Assurance Committee and later became a member of the Resources & Performance Committee and the Investment Committee.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated strong financial leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to adapt and succeed in dynamic environments.

Mark Tweed FCA has a diverse education history. Mark started their academic journey at Nicholas Chamberlaine Comprehensive School, where they completed their GCSE and A Level studies between 1985 and 1991. Following this, Mark attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons degree in Industrial Chemistry with First Class Honours.

In 2015, Mark joined the Financial Talent Executive Network (F-Ten) program at ICAEW, where they engaged in studies focused on Business Leadership. Additionally, Mark pursued further professional education at ICAEW, completing the ACA qualification, although specific start and end years are not provided for this achievement.
