Matt Holleran

Board Member at Propel

Matt Holleran is a venture capitalist and board member at Propel. Matt has over fifteen years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on enterprise software and cloud computing.

Holleran began their career as a software engineer, co-founding Apexon, Inc., a developer of enterprise application integration software, in 2002. Matt served as the company's CEO until it was acquired by webMethods in 2004.

Holleran joined salesforce.com in 2005 as VP of AppExchange and Salesforce Platform Partners. In this role, they were responsible for the AppExchange marketplace and the partner ecosystem for the Salesforce Platform. Matt left salesforce.com in 2007 to join Emergence Capital Partners as a venture partner.

At Emergence Capital Partners, Holleran led investments in Yammer (acquired by Microsoft), Box (IPO), Insightly, Veeva (IPO), and ServiceMax (acquired by GE). Matt also served on the board of directors for several portfolio companies. Matt was responsible for the firm's marketing communications and business relationships with salesforce.com, Google, Adobe, Intuit, and PayPal.

In 2013, Holleran left Emergence Capital Partners to join Propel as a board member. Propel is a venture-funded startup that is building a social network for the outdoors.

Matt Holleran has a MBA from Harvard Business School, a BA in Engineering and Economics from Dartmouth College, and a high school diploma from Landon School.
