Gordon S. has worked in the fashion industry since 2012. In 2012, they worked as a Retail Associate at The Quilted Heart. In 2013, they worked as a Design Intern at Zac Posen House of Z LLC. From 2014 to 2016, they held various roles at Naeem Khan, including Design Assistant & Pattern Archivist, 1st - Production Patternmaker, Grader, and Marker Maker. In 2014, they also worked as a Design & Production Intern at Patrik Ervell. From 2014 to 2019, they were an Instructor & Research Assistant at Kent State University. In 2019, they began their current role as a Technical Product Designer at Proper Cloth.

Gordon S. obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Apparel Design and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chinese Language & Culture from Washington State University between 2010 and 2014. Gordon then went on to obtain a Masters of Fashion in Fashion/Apparel Design from Kent State University between 2014 and 2016.
