Joshua Schechter

Joshua Schechter has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and GIS analysis. Joshua started their career as a GIS Technician at Southern California Edison (SCE) in 1993, where they primarily worked on mapping and analysis for telecom, marketing, and facilities management projects. In 1995, they joined GIS Technology, Inc. as a GIS Analyst before returning to SCE in 1996 as a GIS Analyst/Programmer. During this time, they developed a modular software system and incorporated radio signal attenuation algorithms into mapping applications to improve wireless network engineering. In 2000, Joshua started working as a Principal at Joshua Schechter Consulting while pursuing their full-time MBA program. Joshua then worked at Leica Geosystems from 2001 to 2005 as a Product Manager, where they were responsible for product management of PC software for GPS/GIS data collection systems and the development of three new software products. Since 2006, they have been serving as the Director of Technology at Property ID.

Joshua Schechter obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Innovation / IT Management from the USC Marshall School of Business. Joshua pursued this degree from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1992, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geography from UC Santa Barbara.
