Semi Hasaj

Semi Hasaj is a seasoned professional in data science and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Prophecy since September 2025. Previously, Semi worked as a Senior Data Scientist at C3 AI, focusing on the development of the C3 GenAI Code Assistant and Agentic systems, as well as productionizing models for customer bookings forecasting and survival analysis. Academic experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where a project on demand forecasting using Transformer-based models was conducted under Prof. Georgia Perakis. Earlier roles include data science positions at ASSURANCE IQ and internships at the Canadian Space Agency and eSight Eyewear, as well as a research assistantship at the Lassonde School of Engineering. Semi holds a Master's degree in Business Analytics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Space Engineering from York University.
