Christoph Posch

Co-founder and CTO at Prophesee

Christoph Posch has extensive experience in the field of engineering and research. Christoph began their career in 1996 as a Doctorand (PhD) at CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzerland, where they conducted research on the design, testing, and characterization of analog/mixed-signal ASICs for particle physics applications. In 1999, they moved to Boston University in Boston, MA, US, where they served as a Senior Research Engineer, working on analog/mixed-signal VLSI design in sub-μ CMOS technology for high-energy physics experiments, as well as system development, analog and digital signal processing, and high-speed serial data transmission. That same year, they also began working as a Senior Research Engineer at CERN. In 2004, they moved to AIT - Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna, Austria, where they served as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, leading a team in machine vision and artificial sensory systems for automotive and industrial applications. In 2012, they became a Research Professor at Pierre and Marie Curie University, and also served as Co-founder and Scientific Advisor at Pixium Vision S.A. and Principal Investigator at Institut de la Vision in Paris, France. In 2014, they became Co-founder and CTO of PROPHESEE, where they work with the world’s most advanced Event-Based Vision systems.

Christoph Posch obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Physics, High-Energy Physics Instrumentation, and Microelectronics from Technische Universität Wien in 1999. Christoph also obtained a Master's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the same institution in 1995. In 2012, they were awarded the Senior Member IEEE certification from the IEEE.
