Nicolas Martin has a diverse work experience in the field of computer vision and software engineering. Nicolas began their career in 2006 as a Research and Development Engineer at Société des arts technologiques [SAT] Montréal, where they worked until 2007. In 2008, they joined Axper as a Research and Development Scientist, leaving the company in 2009. From 2010 to 2016, Nicolas worked as a Computer Science Teacher at Cégep André-Laurendeau and also served as a Part-Time Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at Université de Montréal during this time. In 2012, they joined CCTT Optech as a Computer Vision Research Engineer, where they developed various computer vision projects and created open source libraries for 3D reconstruction and calibration. Since 2016, Nicolas has been working at PROPHESEE as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, and later became the Senior Software Engineer Team Lead in December 2017.
Nicolas Martin completed their education at Université de Montréal. Nicolas obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from 2004 to 2007. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from 2007 to 2009. Their educational journey culminated in earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from 2009 to 2014.
