Jan-Ynse Miedema has extensive experience in the aerospace and aviation industry. Jan-Ynse currently holds the position of Vice President of Business Development at Proponent, where they are responsible for expanding the company's product portfolio through long-term supplier relationships and distribution arrangements. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Aerospace & Aviation at Kuehne + Nagel, where they focused on strategic key account development and managed a team of directors. Jan-Ynse also held various positions at Fokker Services B.V., including Vice President of Bombardier Programs, President & Managing Director, Director of Operations, Director of Procurement & Logistics, and Business Development Manager. Earlier in their career, they worked at Stork Turbo Blading, Stork (a Fluor company), Siemens N.V., Philips Domestic Appliances, and Herculano - Trailers and Machinery for Agriculture. Jan-Ynse Miedema's experience spans business development, operations management, procurement, logistics, and engineering.
Jan-Ynse Miedema completed an Executive Program in Business and Society at TIAS School in 2005-2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Management of Business Administration from the University of Twente from 1995 to 1998. Jan-Ynse began their education journey by completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from NHL Hogeschool in 1991-1995.
