Edward Zhang

Edward Zhang is a highly experienced engineering professional with extensive expertise in mechanical design and automation. Currently serving as a Senior Design & Automation Engineer at Proportional Technologies, Inc. since April 2015, Edward specializes in optimizing product design through design for assembly (DFA) and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles, specifically for boron-coated straw (BCS) neutron detectors. As a co-owner of SunTech Automation, LLC, and a former Senior Mechanical Engineer at OFI Testing Equipment, Inc., Edward has designed various customized core analysis equipment for the oil and gas sector. Previous roles include Senior Mechanical Engineer at Fab-Tech, Inc. and Senior Project Engineer at Vermont Machine Tool, where Edward managed significant projects and developed innovative products. Edward holds multiple degrees in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Donghua University and Syracuse University.
