Perla Treviso

Perla T. is an experienced investigative reporter currently working at ProPublica and the Texas Tribune since March 2020. Prior to this, Perla T. served as an environmental affairs reporter at the Houston Chronicle, focusing on critical environmental issues in the Houston area. Perla T. has extensive experience in border reporting, having covered immigration and related topics for the Arizona Daily Star, while also utilizing public records for data-driven analysis. Perla T. was a Bosch Fellow, participating in advanced German language courses and seminars, and has a solid background in reporting on immigrant and refugee issues through work at the Chattanooga Times Free Press and other publications. Perla T. holds a Master’s degree in News Agency Journalism from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
