Capt. Rahul Damodaran, AFNI has a diverse education history in the field of maritime law and nautical science. Capt. Rahul obtained an Advanced Diploma in International Maritime Law from IMO - International Maritime Law Institute in 2015-2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Nautical Science from Indian Maritime University in 2010-2013 and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Nautical Technology from the University of Mumbai in 2007-2010. Capt. Rahul also holds a BS in Nautical Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which they completed in 2001-2005.

Furthermore, Capt. Rahul Damodaran, AFNI obtained a High School Diploma in Computer Science from Naval Public School in 1998-2000 and completed their 10th Grade in Science from the same institution in 1988-1998.
