Jack Elder has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Peer Advisor and Student Researcher at the University of Puget Sound, where they performed undergraduate organic chemistry research and presented their findings at various conferences. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Research Assistant at the Infectious Disease Research Institute, where they worked on tuberculosis drug discovery. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. During this time, they also worked as a Dev10 Software Developer Consultant and Trainee at Genesis10, an API Platform Engineer at Cargill, and an Organic Chemistry Tutor at Varsity Tutors. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at Proscia.
Jack Elder attended Skyline High School from 2007 to 2011. Jack then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound in 2015. In 2017, they completed a Master of Science - MS in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. In 2021, they obtained a Coursera Algorithms Specialization certification and in 2019, they obtained a Dev10 Web Development Bootcamp - Java certification from The Software Guild.
