Matthew Beck

SVP at Prosek Partners

Matthew Beck applies more than two decades of experience in public policy, communications, and capital markets to help clients navigate the increasingly complex world of policy and regulation.

He joined Prosek from the Investment Company Institute (ICI), where he led the media relations team promoting and defending the global regulated fund industry. Prior to ICI, Beck was a vice president in the Strategic Communications Division at the Glover Park Group (GPG), where he designed and executed national public affairs campaigns, provided crisis and litigation communications support, and delivered executive-level counsel for clients seeking to influence policy debates and outcomes.

Before joining GPG, Beck served as the communications director and policy advisor for the Majority Staff of the US House Committee on Ways and Means. During this time, he worked with committee members, congressional leadership, and administration officials to develop legislation and spearhead outreach to media and other stakeholders on tax, economic, trade, healthcare, and social policies.

Beck also managed communications and media relations for former US Representatives Sander Levin (D-MI), Robert Matsui (D-CA), and Brian Baird (D-WA). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international affairs from James Madison University, with a minor in Spanish.
