Mike Geller advises founders, C-Suite executives and business leaders of private investment firms and publicly-traded financial institutions on strategic communications, including financial and corporate public relations, reputation management and leadership positioning.
He has significant expertise counseling diversified financial institutions, major global asset managers, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, and emerging investment firms spanning a broad array of strategies and asset classes. Mr. Geller also has extensive experience helping companies manage communications across a variety of sensitive matters and special situations, including M&A, divestitures, restructurings, creditor rights, complex litigation, enforcement actions & regulatory matters, and leadership transitions.
Prior to joining Prosek Partners, Mr. Geller was an executive vice president and U.S. lead for asset management at Edelman. During his time at the firm, he helped to rebuild the agency’s New York-based financial communications and capital markets practice, and was widely credited as the architect of the firm’s successful strategic communications platform to support domestic and cross-border investment management firms. Before Edelman, Mr. Geller spent more than a decade in a variety of senior in-house communications roles, most recently as director and head of public relations for RBS’s investment bank in the Americas. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Pershing LLC, a BNY Mellon company, Cantor Fitzgerald and Moody’s Investors Service.
Mr. Geller is a graduate of The University of Arizona and has an MBA in finance from Iona College.
