Andrew Payne

Andrew Payne is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in debt restructuring, special situations, and private equity M&A. Currently serving as a Partner at Proskauer Rose LLP since November 2025, Andrew previously held the same title at Linklaters and DLA Piper, where responsibilities included advising rescue financiers, noteholders, and corporate clients on distressed asset transactions. Andrew also contributed as Legal Counsel at Clearwater Capital Partners, focusing on restructuring transactions and joint ventures, and served as Counsel and Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP in the restructuring team. Andrew started legal career as an Associate Solicitor at SJ Berwin in the private equity M&A sector. Andrew holds a Legal Practice Course from Nottingham Law School and an LLB in Law from Newcastle University.
