Dr. Gold joined the firm in 2013. He currently serves as non-executive Chairman of Siromed, and was previously non-executive Chairman of Urology Management Associates. He previously co-founded Sheridan Healthcare in 1994 and had served on the board of directors since inception until November 2012. Dr. Gold was Executive Vice President from 1994 to 1999 while Sheridan Healthcare was publicly traded on NASDAQ (1995-1999). Dr. Gold was instrumental in Sheridan’s multiple financial transactions including the IPO in 1995 and four separate leveraged buyouts with TA Associates, Vestar Capital, J.W. Childs (2004-2007) and Hellman and Friedman. Under his leadership as President from 1999 until 2012, Sheridan Healthcare grew from a single local practice to a national company in 23 states and enjoyed significant revenue and EBITDA growth each year. Currently, Dr. Gold is also a co-founder and Chairman of Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS), which provides full range of services in the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse at multiple national facilities. Dr. Gold is a summa cum laude graduate of Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1982 and completed his residency at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gold received board certification in Anesthesiology.
