Prospect Park Alliance
Kimberlyn Acevedo is an experienced educator and project coordinator with a diverse background in environmental stewardship and community engagement. Currently serving as a Per Diem Seasonal Project Coordinator at Prospect Park Alliance since January 2023, Kimberlyn facilitates volunteer events focused on park stewardship and manages administrative tasks. As a Part Time Educator at the Tenement Museum, Kimberlyn leads public tours and school programs. Previous roles include serving as an Educator for New York Nature Mobile since its founding, a Contract Instructor at the Staten Island Zoo, and various positions with the City Parks Foundation, promoting hands-on coastal ecology education for middle school students. Kimberlyn also has significant experience at the Wildlife Conservation Society, where numerous educational programs and volunteer initiatives were developed and coordinated. Kimberlyn holds a BA in Environmental Studies from St. John's University.

Prospect Park Alliance
The Prospect Park Alliance is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 to restore and maintain Prospect Park after a long period of steady deterioration and decline. They preserve the natural environment, restore historic design and provide public programs and amenities for the Park, which receives more than 10 million visits each year.
