Doug Davenport

Founder & Executive Director at Prospect Silicon Valley

Doug Davenport is the founder and executive director of Prospect Silicon Valley. Doug has shaped engagement programs with Lab and Campus research teams and facilities, built partnerships and new ventures in the energy, transportation, and environmental sectors, and was a key team member on Division and Department research planning, strategic development, and major funding pursuits. Doug also co-founded CalCharge, a battery commercialization accelerator.

From March 2000 to July 2009, Davenport was the national practice lead for energy and carbon at Tetra Tech EM Inc. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of innovative environmental management solutions for public and private sector clients.

In January 2017, Davenport became an independent consultant, providing advice and guidance to startups and small businesses in the clean technology space. Doug has also served as a program director at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they oversaw the Innovation & Industry Partnerships division.

Doug Davenport has a MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Management and Operations, an MS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Civil/Environmental Engineering, and a BS from The University of Akron in Civil Engineering.
