Jim Brown

Jim Brown is the current CEO at Prospect and has an extensive background in the healthcare industry. Jim was previously the President of Humana Health Plans of CA, where they were responsible for the P&L of the CA market. Under their leadership, Humana saw unprecedented growth in their CA Medicare market, becoming the fastest growing MA plan in CA in 2015.

Prior to their role at Humana, Jim was the Sr. Vice President at AppleCare Medical Management/ Optum Health. There, they were responsible for a group of companies in Southern California that included 2 IPAs, an ACO, an MSO, a medical group, and insurance services. Jim also served as the COO of both the L.A. Care Health Plan and Presbyterian Health Plan.

Jim's experience in healthcare administration began at UniHealth, where they served as VP of Managed Care. Jim then became Administrator and COO of La Vida Medical Group and IPA before taking on their role at Presbyterian Health Plan.

Jim Brown has a MPH in Health Policy and Management from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, an MBA in Management from San Francisco State University, Lam Family College of Business, a BS in Biochemistry from University of California, Davis, and a BA in Economics from University of California, Davis.
