Nameer Ahmed

Nameer Ahmed is currently a Logistics Officer at Prospective Medical Professionals - PuMP, where responsibilities include coordinating speakers and presenters for medical events and managing logistics. Previously, Nameer volunteered as Head of STEM at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB), providing math assistance to students in grades 9 to 12 and organizing events at Earl of March Secondary School. Additionally, from October 2017 to October 2020, Nameer served as a Master Corporal in the Royal Canadian Army Cadets, emphasizing teamwork and leadership skills while teaching younger cadets and developing self-discipline. Nameer is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ottawa, expected to graduate in 2028, and holds two High School Diplomas from Earl of March Secondary School and Ottawa-Carleton Virtual Secondary School.

Prospective Medical Professionals, or PuMP for short, is a federally registered non-profit organization dedicated to connecting Canadian high school and post-secondary students to opportunities in health sciences. Founded in 2018, PuMP aims to increase the transparency of the entry process into life science career pathways, make learning experiences in the healthcare industry more accessible for high school and undergraduate students, and promote equal opportunity for all students, no matter their socioeconomic status, gender, religion or race.
