Elise Steeves

Elise Steeves has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Elise began their career as a Power Smart Outreach Representative at BC Hydro in 2008. Elise then worked as a Wildfire Information Officer at the BC Ministry of Forests within the Government of British Columbia from 2008 to 2010. Elise then joined the BC Pharmacy Association in 2011 as a Manager of Communications, where they served until 2017. Following this, they held roles at Edelman, a communications firm, including Senior Account Manager of Corporate Communications from 2017 to 2018, and subsequently as an Account Director of Corporate Communications from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they are the Director of Communications at Prospera Credit Union, a position they have held since October 2020.

Elise Steeves has a Master's Degree in Literature, Culture, and Media from Lund University. Elise also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of British Columbia, where they double majored in English and Psychology. Additionally, Elise participated in a First Year Exchange Program at Bader College in Herstmonceux Castle, East Sussex, England. Elise has completed the Incident Command System (ICS) - Level 100 program at the Justice Institute of British Columbia and has taken the MKTG 1552 - Social Media Marketing course at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In 2022, Elise is pursuing an ESG Fundamentals Microcredential at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
