Xiaotong Chen

Xiaotong Chen has a strong background in robotics and computer science, beginning with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2018, followed by a PhD in Robotics from the University of Michigan in 2023. Experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China, where research focused on soft robotics and the design of Honeycomb Pneumatic Networks. At the University of Michigan, Xiaotong Chen conducted research on visual perception and robotic manipulation, specifically in object pose estimation under challenging conditions. An internship as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Lab126 involved an individual project on transparent scene reconstruction, while a prior Research Engineer Intern role at TuSimple focused on localization and camera pose estimation for self-driving trucks.
