Jingsong Zhao

Jingsong Zhao is a seasoned expert in nonclinical development, specializing in toxicology, pharmacology, and drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) with over 25 years of scientific and regulatory experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Toxicology at Protagonist Therapeutics, Jingsong Zhao has previously held significant leadership roles within the same company, including Vice President and Executive Director. Notable previous positions also include Director of Nonclinical Development at Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Senior Toxicologist at XOMA. Jingsong Zhao's academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and postdoctoral work at the University of Southern California. Additionally, Jingsong Zhao is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT).
