Sarita Khanna

Sarita Khanna has over 25 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Sarita is currently serving as the SVP of Biometrics at Protagonist Therapeutics since July 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of VP of Biometrics at the same company from July 2019 to July 2021. Before joining Protagonist Therapeutics, Sarita worked at Impax Laboratories for 11 years, starting as a Senior Director of Biometrics in August 2008 and leaving in July 2019. Sarita also worked at ALZA Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson Company, for a significant period. There, they held various roles, including Director of Biostatistics from September 2006 to June 2008 and Principal Scientist from December 2003 to August 2006. Sarita began their career as a Research Scientist at ALZA Corporation in June 1998 and stayed until November 2003. Sarita also worked at LifeScan, Inc, a Johnson & Johnson Company, as a Statistician III from January 1996 to March 1998.

Sarita Khanna obtained a BA (Honors) degree in Mathematical Statistics from Lady Shri Ram College For Women. Sarita then pursued a Master's degree in Operations Research at Delhi University from 1987 to 1989. Following that, they attended Bowling Green State University from 1990 to 1992 and completed a Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics. Later on, Sarita furthered their education by earning a Ph.D. in Statistics from Arizona State University, which they completed from 1992 to 1995.
