CTO at Protai

Kirill Pevzner is the CTO and co-founder of Protai, an AI-based platform that comprehensively maps the course of a disease on the protein level. Kirill has a background in computer science and has been working in the field of AI for over 10 years.

Kirill's passion for AI began when they were working on their PhD in computer science at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Kirill was fascinated by the potential of AI to help humans solve complex problems and decided to focus their research on this area.

After completing their PhD, Kirill worked as a research scientist at the Russian Academy of Sciences before co-founding Protai in 2018.

Under Kirill's leadership, Protai has built an end-to-end AI-based platform that comprehensively maps the course of a disease on the protein level, enhancing the ability to observe cellular function and thereby improving the way new drugs are discovered.

Kirill Pevzner attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they received a Master of Science in Computer Vision & Graphics in 2014. Kirill'sthesis was titled "Sphere Intersection 3D Descriptor." Kirill also attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev as an undergraduate, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2009. While an undergraduate, they won the Microsoft ImagineCup for a project titled "AR game using Rubik's cube."

Kirill Pevzner's team is small, and they have a few direct reports. Kirill'scolleagues include a medical data analyst, a computational biologist, and several software and algorithms engineers.
