Athlete Ambassador at Protect Our Winters

Clare Gallagher is a Doctoral Student at the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on Antarctic toothfish population dynamics and UNEA Resolution 5/14 regarding plastic pollution. Additionally, Clare has extensive experience as a Global Sports Activist with Patagonia and as a Professional Athlete sponsored by La Sportiva. Clare co-founded the trail running branch of Protect Our Winters, advocating for renewable energy policies. Previous roles include being a Professional Athlete with The North Face and serving as an Emergency Room Scribe at CarePoint, P.C. With a strong background in education and environmental conservation, Clare has held positions as an ESL Teacher with Princeton in Asia, a Research Assistant at the Palau International Coral Reef Center, and at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Clare holds a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University.
