Lindsey Halvorson is the Advocacy & Campaigns Director at Protect Our Winters, overseeing the organization’s civic engagement and electoral strategies since May 2018. Halvorson's previous roles at Protect Our Winters include Campaigns Manager, Sr. Advocacy Coordinator, and Advocacy Coordinator, where responsibilities ranged from coordinating climate policy initiatives to managing a distributed volunteer network. Prior experience includes roles at The Climate Reality Project, where Halvorson coordinated the 100% Committed Campaign and served as a regional organizer, as well as various student leadership positions at American University, including President of Eco-Sense and Coordinator of the Community Garden. Lindsey Halvorson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Legal Studies, Economics, and Government from American University.

Protect Our Winters
Protect Our Winters is the environmental center point of the winter sports community. Founded by pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007, we are united towards a common goal of reducing climate change's effects on our sport and local mountain communities. With over 140,000 supporters worldwide, POW re-invests public and private contributions into educational initiatives, advocacy and supporting community-based initiatives that have tangible results.
