Michael Smith

Michael Smith, FCAS, MAAA has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Michael started their career as a Mathematics Teacher at Blytheville High School from 1997 to 1999. Michael then joined Primaris as a Research Analyst from 2001 to 2003. Following that, they worked at Shelter Insurance Companies for 14 years, starting as an Actuarial Analyst and progressing to Senior Property and Casualty Actuary/Supervisor. In 2017, they joined Protective Asset Protection as a 2VP and Actuary. Michael's expertise lies in property and casualty insurance, and they hold the FCAS and MAAA designations.

Michael Smith, FCAS, MAAA earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas in 1993. Michael then pursued their Master of Arts degree in Statistics from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1999 to 2001.
