Allyssa Sorenson

Allyssa Sorenson currently serves as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Protective Insurance since May 2020, following its acquisition by Progressive. Prior to this role, Allyssa was a Peer Tutor in the Writing Lab at the University of Indianapolis from July 2019 to May 2021, where academic writing was taught to clients across various formats. Allyssa also gained experience as an Accounting Assistant at T&D Metal Products from May 2018 to January 2020, responsible for financial spreadsheets and accounts payable and receivable duties. Earlier work experience includes a position as a Dietary Assistant at Iroquois Memorial Hospital from April 2016 to May 2018, which involved collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver nutritious meals and managing inventory. Allyssa earned a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science with minors in Finance, Math, and Stats from the University of Indianapolis, attending from 2018 to 2021, after graduating from Watseka Comm High School in 2018.
