Caroline L. Brown

Caroline L. Brown is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Vice President and Senior HR Business Partner at Protective Life since January 2022, Caroline provides expertise in human capital strategies and drives business results through talent management and transformational change. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Staff and Business Transformation & Strategy Leader, where operational accountability and strategic advisory roles were pivotal. As Director of Human Resources for the Jefferson County Commission, Caroline developed a strategic plan that successfully ended a long-standing consent decree and restructured a large department for improved efficiency. At Toyota North America, Caroline launched an enterprise-wide learning management system that achieved significant cost savings and established a new Talent Management Team. Caroline holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tuskegee University.
