Abby J. Chiang has a diverse work experience starting from 2011. Abby J. began as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they focused on evaluating degradation products of orthopedic implants and analyzing the correlation between wear rate and isolated particles. Abby J. then moved on to work as a Research Associate- Analytical Chemist at HMRI- Huntington Medical Research Institutes, where they performed tests on clinical samples for biomarker screening purposes and conducted experiments on migraine in animal models. In 2014, they joined City of Hope as a Ph.D. Researcher, with a focus on studying the immunomodulatory function of probiotic Lactobacillus reuteri and identifying the formation of novel folate. Abby J. further advanced their career by working at AstraZeneca, first as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where they focused on multi-omics strategies to study complex biology, and later as a Senior Scientist. Currently, they are a Customer Success Scientist at Protein Metrics, LLC.
Abby J. Chiang completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UCLA between the years 2009 and 2011. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Analytical Chemistry from 2014 to 2019.
