Rachel Steven

Rachel Steven has over 5 years of professional experience in the food industry. In 2022, they began working as a Pet Food Manager at Protenga and as a Professional Freelancer. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as an R&D Executive at WhatIF Foods, where they developed plant-based high protein noodle variants from ideation to market while considering costs, nutritional calculations, product claims based on Singapore and Malaysia food regulations and shelf-life analyses. Rachel also co-created sensory evaluation criteria for noodles using multidimensional methods and conducted training to shortlist sensory panelists and to determine quality standards. Additionally, they developed noodles formulations for private-label products mainly restaurants in Singapore through direct collaboration with customers.

From 2017 to 2018, Rachel Steven worked as a Product Specialist at PT KINGLAB INDONESIA, where they successfully introduced and demonstrated new products to all existing and prospecting clients closing a cumulative sale of S$20,000 and developed 5 new accounts. Rachel also penetrated the market by analyzing and researching veterinary clinics without in-house laboratory by cold calling and introduced rapid PCR test kits to reduce lab result turnaround time.

In 2017, Rachel Steven worked as a Financial Counselor at Sengkang Health, where they provided patient support in billing, insurance claims and advocacy, while ensuring complete regulatory compliance. Rachel also created over 150 new patient accounts for the accident and emergency department, provided excellent customer service in all 4 languages, receiving a 99% patient satisfaction rating.
