Matt Waller

Chief Operating Officer at Proterra Partners

Mr. Waller is the Chief Operating Officer of Proterra Investment Partners. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading finance and operations globally.

Prior to Proterra, Mr. Waller worked for Black River Asset Management, a division of Cargill, where he served as a Managing Director focused on agricultural investments. His primary responsibilities were to develop, implement and monitor controls, processes, systems and financial reporting for portfolio companies. Prior to joining Black River, Mr. Waller served as the Managing Director of Global Operations for Lacrosse Global Fund Services (a Cargill subsidiary). Prior to Lacrosse, he worked in the Cargill Risk Management Business Unit (CRM) with roles in operations and accounting. Previously, Mr. Waller worked as a public accountant and in accounting roles at Farallon Capital Management and Deephaven Capital Management.

Mr. Waller holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Minnesota. He is a CPA (Inactive).
