Sophie Palmer

Sophie Palmer is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Proterra Inc since March 2021. Prior to this role, Sophie gained experience as a Mechanical/Systems Engineering Intern at HP and as a Teaching Assistant in the German Department at Dartmouth College. Additional internships included virtual testing and simulations at Knorr-Bremse and a creative data analyst position at VidMob. Sophie's engineering background includes undergraduate research at Thayer School of Engineering. Sophie's academic journey at Dartmouth College concluded with a Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, modified with Studio Art. Sophie's diverse experiences also feature roles as a paralegal, sales associate, resident assistant, and student athlete with Dartmouth Women’s Crew.
