Kim (Tweedie) McCracken has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kim is currently working at Protium as the Head of Innovation & Grant Projects, where they manage several industry-leading projects, including partnerships with Bruichladdich Distillery and the development of green hydrogen infrastructure for commercial hydrogen flights. Prior to this, they worked at Representing Scotland as a Hydrogen Advocate, promoting the use of hydrogen energy. Kim was also a Project Manager & Technical Adviser at the Hydrogen Accelerator, where they contributed to projects such as the Zero Emission Train Scotland and the Scottish Hydrogen Freight Trial. Before transitioning into the renewable energy sector, Kim worked at Doosan Babcock, initially as a Future Technologies Engineer in the Innovation and Research Management Team, then as a Project Manager for the Hydrogen Offshore Production (HOP) Project. Kim also had roles as a Graduate Product Planning and Marketing Assistant, Graduate Process Engineer, Graduate Project Management Assistant, Graduate Assistant Proposals Manager, and Graduate R&D Engineer with Doosan Babcock. Kim's earlier experience includes teaching laboratory demonstration and distance learning chemistry tutoring at the University of Aberdeen, and working as a Graduate Chemist at Hichrom Ltd. Kim also served as a Research Assistant in Materials Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde.
Kim (Tweedie) McCracken completed their education in surface chemistry/chemical engineering with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Aberdeen, starting in 2011 and finishing in 2015. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Teaching at the University of Strathclyde from 2005 to 2010.
