Emma Ganley

Emma Ganley has a wealth of work experience. Emma has been a Director of Strategic Initiatives and a Protocols.io Consultant at Protocols.io since 2020. Emma is also a Board Member at FORCE11 since 2021. In 2019, they were an Independent Scientific Editor/Writer and Publishing Consultant at Ganley Consulting. In 2018, they were an Image Data Resource Scientific Advisory Board Member at IDR. In 2017, they were a bioRxiv Affiliate at bioRxiv and a Scidata Programme Committee Member at SpringerNature & Wellcome. In 2016, they were Co-Chair of the FAIRsharing.org Advisory Board at FAIRsharing.org. From 2012 to 2017, they were Chief Editor, Acting Deputy Editor, and Senior Editor at the Public Library of Science. In 2011, they were a Project Manager at the Open Microscopy Environment (OME) at The University of Dundee.

Emma Ganley has a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge, obtained between 1998 and 2001. Emma also holds a BSc in Genetics from The University of Manchester, obtained between 1995 and 1998. As part of their undergraduate degree, they also completed License and Maitrise courses at Universit\u00e9 Paul Sabatier Toulouse III as part of the ERASMUS scheme between 1996 and 1997.
