Gerald D'Ascoli has extensive experience in the engineering field. Gerald began their career in 2016 as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor at the University of Maryland. In the same year, they also took on an Electrical Engineering Intern role at the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center. In 2018, they became a Junior Systems Engineer at Leidos, where they were responsible for system hardware-software-network design, development & integration, and verification & validation. In 2019, they moved to Northrop Grumman as an Electronics Engineer, where they collaborated with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineers to determine hardware requirements and architectures, develop hardware designs, and perform trade studies to select developmental and operational hardware. In 2021, they joined MoonRanger as a Software Engineer and Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Currently, they are a Senior Robotic Systems Engineer at PROTOINNOVATIONS, LLC.

Gerald D'Ascoli received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2018. Gerald then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Robotics System Development from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in May 2022.
