Team Lead - Frontend Engineering at Proton

Brandon Deo has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Brandon started their career as a Resident Assistant at the University of Delaware, where they facilitated presentations and collaborated in diverse teams to implement events for students. Brandon then transitioned into a role as a Web Developer/Database Specialist at the same university, where they designed specifications and provided ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting support for data subscriptions and complex reports.

In 2016, Brandon joined Critical Media as a Full Stack Engineer, where they developed and implemented a robust and scalable Flask API for a global media monitoring platform. Brandon also worked on the front end, leveraging Vue, Backbone, and Marionette, and assisted in making User Experience decisions.

In 2018, they moved on to Amnet Programmatic Experts for Dentsu Aegis Network as a Full Stack Engineer, where they developed an internal application and led the migration of multiple Vue.js standalone apps into one app for improved performance. Brandon then joined Halo Platform as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on software development.

From 2019 to 2022, Brandon worked at PolicyFly as a Senior Software Engineer. Brandon actively developed and led a team responsible for building a frontend SaaS application using Vue.js and Vuetify.js.

Brandon'smost recent experience is at Proton.ai, starting in 2022. Brandon currently holds the position of Junior Staff Engineer and will be transitioning into the role of Team Lead - Frontend Engineering in March 2023.
