Sebastian Mealla C. has a diverse work experience, starting in 2005 as a Project Manager for the Arts & Technology program at AECID. Sebastian also worked as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Blas Pascal from 2006 to 2008, and later as an Academic Coordinator at Universidad Católica de Córdoba from 2011 to 2012. From 2009 to 2013, Sebastian was a Technology Manager at Universitat de Girona, where they provided ICT solutions for education and cultural projects.

Sebastian's career then took a turn towards academia, as they became an Associate Professor at UPF-IDEC from 2013 to 2015, and an Assistant Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) from 2012 to 2015. During the same period, they also served as a Researcher and Post-doc Project Manager at UPF, working on EU-Project RAPID-MIX and contributing to securing a €3M funding.

In 2015, Sebastian founded ProtoPixel and took on the role of Founder & CEO. As the CEO, they focused on building strong teams, defining market-driven business cases, and managing finances and market research. Sebastian played an instrumental role in securing public funding and strategic investment, including from Metro AG / Techstars.

Most recently, they joined Advanced Music, S.L. in 2018 as a Project Manager for the Sonar Innovation Challenge, where they collaborated with companies and creators to produce disruptive prototypes for Sónar+D.

Sebastian Mealla C.'s education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2016, Sebastian studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Information and Communication Technologies.

Between 2008 and 2010, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cognitive Science & Human Computer Interaction at the same institution, Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

In 2006, Sebastian completed a postgraduate program in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia at MECAD - ESDi.

Similarly, in 2004, they undertook another postgraduate program in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia at Universidad Blas Pascal.

Sebastian began their higher education journey in 2000 at Universidad Blas Pascal, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, completing their studies in 2004.
