Swaroop Vakkalanka is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in drug discovery and development. Currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Rhizen Pharmaceuticals AG since September 2008, Swaroop also holds the position of Chairman and Co-Founder at Provectis from January 2023. Previous roles include President of Drug Discovery and Clinical Development at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd and General Manager of Pharmacokinetics at Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Swaroop began a career in research as a Research Scientist at Dr. Reddy's from 1996 to 1999. Education includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Andhra University, completed between 1983 and 1990.
