Marilyn Kaforey

Marilyn Kaforey is a founding partner at Proven Recruiting. Marilyn has over 18 years of experience in recruiting and staffing. Prior to joining Proven Recruiting, they were a market manager at Kforce, Inc. for 8 years. In this role, they were responsible for managing the daily operations and staff of a $3.5 million branch, including a staff of 5-8 account executives, account managers, internet researchers and service coordinators. Marilyn also reviewed weekly activities for all direct reports and maintained a productive sales culture.

Marilyn has also sourced, hired, mentored and developed sales and support staff throughout their career. Marilyn has conducted quarterly evaluations with staff to set goals and plan areas to develop in order to achieve those goals. Additionally, they have made sales calls and conducted in-person meetings with key managers to senior-level executives for the purpose of prospecting new business and identifying key staffing needs.

Marilyn has been successful in placing candidates with the appropriate clients by meeting with them to evaluate their abilities. Marilyn has also marketed candidate’s skills to open jobs, existing client’s with no openings and job leads. As a result of their hard work, they have received numerous awards and recognition during their tenure with various companies, including employee of the year for both Finance & Accounting division and San Diego office, 200% club and STAR awards.

They are on a team with Jenifer Hanson - Life Sciences, Managing Partner, Megan Walker - Finance & Accounting, Managing Partner, and Kelly Feest - Technical Recruiting, Managing Partner. Their manager is Louis Song, CEO & Sherpa.
