Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith has extensive work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Kevin is currently serving as the Executive Director of Marketing at Provention Bio since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at ViiV Healthcare from June 2020 to May 2022 as the Global Commercial Lead for Fostemsavir.

From June 2019 to June 2020, Kevin held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Dova Pharmaceuticals. Before that, they had a long tenure at Gilead Sciences, where they had multiple roles. Kevin was the Senior Director of Commercial Planning for HCV, HBV, and HBV Cure from May 2016 to June 2019. Kevin also served as the Director of HIV Marketing from May 2013 to May 2016, Regional Director of HIV Sales from October 2010 to May 2013, Associate Director of HIV Marketing from February 2009 to October 2010, and Senior Product Manager of HIV Marketing from November 2007 to February 2009.

Prior to their time at Gilead Sciences, Kevin worked at CV Therapeutics from May 2007 to November 2007 as a Senior Product Manager and from April 2006 to May 2007 as a Product Manager of Scientific Marketing. Kevin began their career at Merck, where they held roles such as Market Research Analyst from May 2005 to March 2006, Health Science Associate from June 2002 to May 2005, and Professional Representative from August 1999 to June 2002.

Kevin Smith attended Westlake High School from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained their Diploma in the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Kevin then pursued their undergraduate education at Ohio University from 1993 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. Following that, they attended Stony Brook University from 1997 to 1999, obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Genetics. Lastly, they pursued their postgraduate education at Emory University - Goizueta Business School from 2003 to 2006, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing and Market Research.
